Abstract

‘Puranuru’ is one among the ancient literature written by 32 poets among them 16 are female poets. In ancient days Women are highly educated and had the leadership quality as per the history. Women instructed the kings about the consequences of the war and also stopped the male chauvinistic society by acting as the ambassador which we can see visually in the pictures. Woman who gives birth to a man, selects her own life partner and also cooks for their family and serves lovably, all these things are described in ‘Purananuru’ women cannot be separated from society, without her there is no home and nation. She is the creator and creating energy of this world, we can learn this through this essay.
