Abstract

Sangam literature describes the life of the ancients and the way of life that lived in harmony with nature. Sangam literature can be called a mirror of time. Sangam literary text books are the creations of ancient Tamil poets who spread the world with peace and joy through their literals. Pathupattu and Ettu Thogai are known as the Pathinen keel kanaku books. The first book among the Ettu Thogai is ‘Natrinai’. The epithet ‘Nal’ along with the name ‘Thinai’ which refers to internal morals becomes Natrinai. The book consists of four hundred hymns ranging from nine feet to twelve feet. It is not known who compiled it. It was Grouped by Pannadu thantha Pandyan Maran Valuthi. It is also known as Natrinai Nanuru. Singing of nature can be said to be the specialty of Sangam literature. Sangam people lived in harmony with all living things like plants, animals, birds and nature. This article describes about flowers in natrinai which are part of plants.
