Abstract

Internal Field was the subject of song in Sangam Literature, and in devotional works, ‘Bhakti’ became the subject of song. After the Sangam period, the influence of Jain and Buddhism religions was popular. Therefore, the pride of people’s love life and domesticity decreased and pride was given to asceticism, and thus, internal songs in literature decreased. The books of morals that convey virtue proliferated. The Nayanmars and Azhwars sang devotional songs with musical flair against Jain Buddhism, and the aim of this article is to explore the internal songs in the Thirumurai.
