Abstract

The history of Tamil Nadu has come a long way. The cultural identities of the Tamil land are unique. Such historical values have been recorded in various spheres from time to time. Literature Inscriptions, copper plates, palm leaf manuscripts, paintings and pictures are the cultural values of Tamil everywhere. Especially, it is an undeniable fact that many historical facts are found in inscriptions and copper plates parallel to literature. Copper plates and inscriptions are the finest historical documents that can forever be recorded. The purpose of this article is to know about the life style of the Nayak period found in the Tamil tradition through copper plates.
